Max spent years by the side of a blind owner, helping them move through the world with confidence, safety, and independence. For a long time, he was more than a dog.

He was someone's eyes, protector, and loyal companion. But when his working years came to an end, Max was left with no home, no care, and no one looking out for him.

He was later found weak, underfed, and carrying a concerning mass on his chest that now requires urgent medical attention.

Our rescue partners brought him to safety, but Max needs emergency surgery before his condition gets worse.
