Max spent years as a guide dog, helping someone who was blind move through life safely.

But after his working years ended, he was left without the care he needed.

He was later found weak, underfed, and carrying a concerning mass on his chest. After examining him, the vet was clear: Max needs surgery as soon as possible.

Without this operation, his condition could get worse quickly. The mass may continue to grow, causing serious pain and suffering. And if nothing is done, euthanasia could become the only option to prevent him from enduring a painful end.
